The official one week ceremony of the murdered Abuakwa North NPP, P, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu was held at the police social center in Accra today.
The commemoration had in attendance the vice president of the republic, Mr. Amissah Arthur, the presidential candidate of the opposition New Piotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo and other sympathisers and family members.
The vice president described the MP’s death as a lose to Ghana. “This is one crime that is impossible to explain, the motive is lost to almost everybody. All we know is that it has terminated the life of a promising man. A career has been cut short. Ghana is the loser,” Mr. Amissah-Arthur wrote in a tribute.
The late Abuakwa North MP was stabbed to dead at his East Legon residence in Accra. The police have leveled charges against a 19-year-old teenager Daniel Asiedu who has claimed responsibility for the murder.
