Actress Emelia Brobbey has received an award for best international act at the Royal Africa Awards which took place in Italy, Brescia.
Though the actress missed the ceremony due to some few engagements, representatives who received the award on behalf of the actress, came to do an official presentation of the award to the actress in Accra.
Emelia who won best actress in supporting role for both Ghana Movie Awards (GMA) and Kumawood Movie Festival Awards 2012 was full of praise for Golden Bees entertainment whose movie she shot in Italy, that gained her the award.
Emelia also expressed her gratitude to, Miracle films for giving her the opportunity to showcase her talent when she ventured onto the movie scenes. She further made a promise to her fans to expect ]more charitable and exciting projects from her in the course of the year.
Present at the presentation of the award was actors and actresses in the industry like Majid Michel, Salma Mumin, Kalybos and Ahuofe Patri.
Emelia is currently in Accra and on the set of KOFAS Media's "Amakye & Dede" set directed by Kofi Asamoah and plays the role “Ann” in the movie. The movie stars actors Majid Michel, Kalybos, Ahuofe Patri and Roselyn Ngissah.
Emelia Brobbey who is one of the best acts, Kumawood can boast of is the CEO of End Time Films and Emelia Brobbey Charity Foundation. Emelia is highly indebted to the great actor Daniel Adeleye who introduced her into the movie industry.
Her first auditioned role was at the Kumasi cultural centre, led by Mr. Samuel Nyamekye C.E.O of Miracle Films where she landed her first movie role titled Tribal war in 2002, after which she has since shot over 150 movies and still looking forward to more.
