NDC man arrested for impersonation

- George Boateng, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) man  who tried contesting President Mahama for the party’s flag bearer position in 2015, has been arrested by police for impersonation.

- He is alleged to have posed as a National Security Officer to extort monies from unsuspecting individuals.

 - Mr. Boateng is in the grips of the Airport police in Accra.

The Oyarifa branch Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a former presidential hopeful, George Boateng has been arrested by the police for impersonation.

The man who tried to contest President Mahama in the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) presidential primaries is said to have been posing as a National Security Officer and taking monies from innocent persons.

He was arrested on Sunday by the Airport Police in Accra. The police are currently investigating the matter.

George Boateng emerged in the news last year after he declared his intentions to contest President Mahama in the party’s November 7 primaries.

He was however, frustrated and prevented by the party’s leadership to contest the sitting president.
