Eastern regional Crime officer Chief Superintendent Edward Fakye-Kumi has revealed that the command has seized a huge consignment of Indian hemp [wee].
According to him the ‘we’ were being smuggled to Cote D’Ivoire from the Eastern region.
Briefing the media on Tuesday, the police officer said the police seized the Indian hemp Saturday, February 20 upon a tip off.
“Our men were able to intercept 64 sacks and the sacks are filled with compressed slaps of suspected Indian hemp,” Supt. Faakye-Kumi told journalists Tuesday.
He also added that the driver of the vehicle carrying the ‘wee’, Nicholas Asare was arrested and is currently in police grips assisting the police with investigations.
