- Victim was challenged that she was in a relationship with the accused
- Queeny Akuffo was accused of sedating and raping another woman
- The victim told the court she was not in a relationship with Queeny
- Queeny pleaded not guilty to the charge
The woman who claimed to have been raped by a 26-year-old woman, Queeny Akuffo, was challenged in an Accra Circuit by the lawyer of the accused of having a foreknowledge of the sexual intercourse that ensued on that fateful day.
Mr Andrews Kudzo Vortia, counsel for the accused told the court on Wednesday that the victim was fully aware of what was going to transpire when she heeded to Queeny’s call.
“The victim had fore knowledge of what will transpire at the house and thus could not say that she was raped by the victim,’’ he told an astounded court.
Queeny has been charged with raping another woman, Miss Amoakwa by sedating her and inserting an artificial penis also known as dildo into her vagina as she lied unconscious in her (Queeny’s) room.
Miss Amoakwa, the 22-year-old victim strongly denied the claim and told the Accra Circuit that she was not in any intimate relationship with the accused prior to the incident.
She told the court that she only carried out chores for the accused and on the day the incident occurred, she was invited by the accused to cook for her.

She informed the court that she normally went to the house of Queeny and helped her with her chores for a fee and not “to engage in any sexual activity with her.’’
When asked why she would accept a drink from the accused, she added “I did not think it will lead to something bad.”
The case was, however, adjourned to March 15, 2016, for the continuation of the cross-examination of other witnesses.
On January 25, 2016, the victim who was on her way to buy food for her son was invited by Queeny for a visit which she complied.
On entering the house, she offered her a glass of Vodka and beer which they consumed together.
She passed out after taking the drinks only to realise the next morning that she had been raped with an artificial penis and the act recorded by Queeny after she had her drugged from the alcohol she took.
