Tensions at Mile 12 in Lagos State rises following as an ongoing standoff between civilians and rebels has claimed the lives of six persons with policemen severely injured.
It remains unknown the cause of the riot there as on the ground reports from Naij.com shows how schools have been set ablaze and roads blocked causing fear and panic in the said area - a gory scene followed by the blasts of gunshots even as security officials try all their best to clamp down on the rebels.
The chaos is documented to have affected the flow of vehicular traffic and human movement in the towns of Ketu and Ikorodu as innocent persons escape to safety grounds.
So far, business activities remain grounded within the Agboyi-Ketu local government area as efforts to reach the manager of the BRT terminal in Ikorodu have proved abortive as passengers on-board public buses are been told to stay calm until the unrest in the conflicted zone remains quelled.
