Vice President Amissah Arthur will host child star, Abraham Attah  at the Flagstaff house come Friday when he arrives in Ghana.

In a post on by James Agyenim Boateng on his Facebook account, it stated that Vice President K.B. Amissah-Arthur will host teenage movie star, Abraham Attah at the Flagstaff house on Friday.

Abraham in the past days has been trending on social media after winning Best Male Lead at the 2016 Independent Spirit Awards and presenting at the Oscars last weekend. Abraham has received congratulatory messages from President Mahama, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Dzifa Gomashie, the USA Embassy in Ghana and fellow actors.

Just two days ago, three radio presenters were criticized for mocking Abraham Attah’s acceptance speech at the Spirit Awards. In his reaction to the whole mocking saga by the presenters, the young actor took to his Instagram account to explain himself.

According to Abraham, his fumbled speech was due to lack of preparedness. He stated to the supposed radio presenters who mocked him that he was not sure; he will win the award so he did not prepare a speech. He added that he was surprised when his name was mentioned to receive the award, hence he did not know what to say.

Abraham made his first debut in Beast of No Nation, playing the role of Agu, a child soldier. He has also stared in a new movie titled ‘Out Of The Village’. The new movie was shot in Ghana with a local cast and crew. “Out of the village”, explores the social and cultural impact of the Ebola epidemic from the perspective of an orphaned brother and his sister.

The movie which won ‘Best International Short Film’ at the Foyle Film Festival 2015 was produced by X-Men actor Bryan Singer. It was directed by Jonathan Stein.

Abraham has won four major awards including Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at Venice Film Festival 2015, ‘Rising Star Award’ at the Black Fim Critics Circle (BFCC) and the Best male actor at the Independent Spirit Awards.
