A 24-year-old man, Michael Chukwuma has killed his roommate in an argument over who is better of football super stars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The row, according to Spanish news agency EFE reports took place at a birthday party organized by the deceased, Obinna Durumchukwu, who turned 34 on Saturday, March 5.

It was at the party which lasted deep into 9am of Sunday, which saw Obinna throw a glass at Cristiano Ronaldo fan Chukwuma but missed after a heated row over the players’ respective achievements.
Chukwuma then picked up a piece of the broken glass and attacked Messi enthusiast Obinna, gashing him and leaving him to die in a pool of blood on the floor of his apartment, at their Agarwal Nagri home in Nalasopara.
Local police chief, Kiran Kabadi said neighbours who heard the screams and alerted the Tulinj police said both men were drunk.
Meanwhile, Tulinj police spokesman, Inspector Sunil Jadhav said Chukwuma, whose passport had also expired, has been arrested and a case under section 302 (murder) of IPC has been registered and investigations are underway.
The two players, Messi and Ronaldo for now, are nowhere closer to ending arguments about the superiority of one over the other as they both had stellar weekends, with Messi scoring a brace in a 4-0 destruction of Eibar.
Cristiano Ronaldo, on the other hand, scored four goals in the 7-1 destruction of Celta Vigo to send his personal tally in Spanish history to 252 goals.
