The game saw key men, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard leave the sinking ship in the middle of the storm when the team needed most because of injury.

Bertrand Traore replaced Spanish forward Diego Costa and Oscar replaced Eden Hazard.

Adrien Rabiot's opened the scoring for PSG early in the first half and might have unsettled Chelsea who tried fighting back and got one back from Diego Costa few minutes later.

It was a real payback time for the Spain international who had been taunted prior to the game by PSG fans who tagged him as ‘fraud’ on social media.

He shoved away from the middle men of PSG and brilliantly tucked one under the goalkeeper of the French team after a brilliant build up involving Willian and Pedro.

Ibrahimovic struck seven minutes after Costa left the field and it looked as though he also sought revenge for his being sent off 12 months ago at the Stamford Bridge. The Swedish strike secured a 4-2 aggregate triumph for his PSG side.
