Korean arrested for slapping Ghanaian worker with hot pizza

- A Korean employer who slapped his Ghanaian worker with hot pizza has been arrested by police in Accra

- Young Gyu Lee is alleged to have slapped his female employee with the pizza after she burnt part of it while cooking

Police in Accra have arrested the head of the Peterpan Restaurant, Young Gyu Lee for allegedly slapping one of his Ghanaian employees with hot pizza.

Reports show that Mr Lee slapped his Ghanaian supervisor after the victim, Cecilia Ampadu burnt part of the pizza - a development which saw her report the assault at the Airport Police Station thus leading to her boss' arrest.

Meanwhile the Airport Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Yaw Tetegah has revealed that his outfit was searching for ample evidence to aid with investigations into the alleged assault.

“We have called for witnesses to help us with the investigations and so far we are charging the gentleman with assault. She says she was slapped with hot pizza and we are investigating the case to establish the fact”,he stated.

So far, the suspect, who doubles as the Vice President of the Korean Residents Association of Ghana, is said to have been granted bail as investigations into the alleged assault continue.
