Ghanaian comedian, Samuel Kwadwo Boaben, known in showbiz as Bob Okala has died at the age of 59, reports from family members indicate.
The much loved comedian is said to have died in the early hours of Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the Koforidua Regional Hospital after collapsing immediately after a performance organized by Joy Industries .

Meanwhile reports from organizers of the show indicates that Bob Okala was not billed for the said performance considering his ill-health but was only permitted to perform due to the cordial relationship he had with the organizers.

The dead of the comedian has attracted much condolence from Ghanaians especially from President Mahama who wrote on his Facebook wall; “I have been informed of the death of comedian Bob Okalla. He brought joy to many homes, and of course to Lordina& I.”
Details of his funeral arrangements are yet to be made public.
