The Forecast division of the Ghana meteorological agency, has warned the public to tread cautiously with the morning rains.
In a release signed by, Federick Otu-Larbi, and issued this morning from its offices, it noted that the rains is likely to continue intermittently till about 11 am.
The statement further noted that the areas to be badly affected by the morning rains are the coastal areas and parts of the Upper West Region. The statement further warned all to tread cautiously in the rains as they go about their normal duties to avert any calamity. Already there are reports circulating on social media that the road between Okponglo and Shaishie is flooded , hence three lanes merge into one. Motorists coming from that area are advised to approach with caution.
The rains started with a cloudy weather as early as 6am. Various reports indicate that there is huge traffic in Accra as many find their way to their offices in the rains.
