Parliament's Select Committee on Defense and Interior has summoned all security agencies to brief the house on measures being put in place to keep Ghana safe from terrorist attacks.
The summons which follows recent terrorist attacks on civilians is also expected to see the committee implement specific measures to keep the boarders of Ghana safe especially when the November polls draws near.
The attacks on Ivory Coast, which has been linked to terrorist group, Al Queeda, is feared to have claimed the lives of 16 persons including a security personnel. Also on January 15, 2016, gunmen armed with heavy weapons attacked the Cappuccino Restaurant in Splendid Hotel in the heart of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso killing 30 with at least 56 injured.
