President John Dramani Mahama has expressed lack of interest in being addressed with the honorary title, Doctor, following the honorary degree which was conferred on him by Aberdeen University, one of the world's most respected universities.
In a Twitter post on Saturday March 19,President Mahama was rather asked to be referred to as Mr. Mahama instead of Dr. Mahama.
President Mahama during his acceptance speech dedicated the award to the people of Ghana as he described the honour as that belonging to; "all Ghanaians and it is a reflection of the strides we have made as a people, both internationally and at home."
The ceremony is said to have proceeded Mahama's visit to the Scottish Parliament where he expressed interest in partnering with the state in the area of oil and gas and human resource development.
