Ghana's former President John Jerry Rawlings has stated that he does not in any way miss his onetime vice president.
Explaining his reasons for his stance, he noted that he was informed that the late Mills promised to reward people who insulted and fabricated things about him (Rawlings) with jobs.
Speaking to an exclusive interview, the former military ruler he does not miss his onetime bosom friend, Mills. He added that he is of the view that there are not much differences between the late Atta Mills and John Mahama, except that president Mahama has not lined up people on the promise of a job to insult and fabricate stories about him, his wife and family as Mills did. He added that Mr.Mahama is also going astray from his mandate as president.
The late President, who fell out with his former boss, died in July 2012 when Ghana was preparing for parliamentary and presidential elections. He was replaced by his Vice, John Mahama, who led the NDC into victory in the general elections.
In the same Interview, Mr. Rawlings indicated that the Atta Mills’s death saved the ruling National Democratic party from being in opposition.
