Accra Hearts of Oak came from 2 goals down to beat Tema Harbour club side, Inter Allies 3-2 on Sunday at the Tema Park in the 5 week of the Ghana Premier League.
Both sides came into the game highly inspired and sold a fast-paced match to the over 20,000 spectators in attendance.
The home side, Inter Allies shot into the lead through Fredrick Boateng who got himself at the end of a well-worked inter-positional play to knock one home.
Hearts put in more efforts in attempt to fetch an equalizer but Inter Allies’ Evans Mensah had other ideas. He combined effectively on the left flank with Frederick Boateng, Ropapa and Gockel Ahortor.
It was as a result of one of such incursions that resulted in their second goal from Boateng to go ahead 2-0.
Hearts of oak delved into their ‘never-say-die’ club motto to pull victory out of the jaws of the Harbour based team by coming back to win 3-2.
Isaac Mensah pulled one back for Hearts in the 65 minute when all seemed a bad day in office for the Phobians.
Hearts manager, Kenichi Yatsuhashi brought on teenage sensation, Musah Ibrahim on for Collins Dauda.
It was his debut for the club and he responded massively to justify the confidence entrusted in him when the task looked the more difficult.
The former Sunshine FC player scored a brace to win the game 3-2 for Hearts of who are yet to lose a game in the ongoing league.
Tried as they did, Inter Allies fought tooth and nail to claw back an equaliser but that was not enough to stop Hearts of Oak from moving to 13 points on the league table.
