- An Accra High Court has squashed an application by lawyers of Dr Zanetor Rawlings over her eligibility as a Ghanaian voter
-High Court Judge, Justice Ackaah-Boafo has described the application by her lawyers as a "good poem that makes a bad read."
The woes of Dr. Zanetor Rawlings deepen as an Accra High Court dismisses an application brought before it by lawyers of the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate elect.
Lawyers of Zanetor Rawlings, prayed the court to throw out a suit filed by the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle constituency Nii Armah Ashietey who is documented to have challenged the eligibility of Dr. Rawlings. Mr. Ashietey and one Nii John Coleman (who also lost in the primary) filed a suit praying the Court to prevent Dr. Rawlings from holding herself out as Parliamentary Candidate-elect for the constituency on the ticket of the NDC.
Meanwhile, Justice Ackaah-Boafo in his ruling on Tuesday squashed the application by Dr. Rwlings describing it as "a good poem that makes a bad read" - a development which is feared to leave the embattled daughter of former president Rawlings with a marginally slim chance of winning her suit.
