-Deputy Israeli Ambassador to Ghana Orli Veitzman has argued that Jesus Christ is not the saviour of the world
- The ambassador claims that the saviour of the world is yet to be born and that Jesus was just a mere prophet
Deputy Israeli Ambassador to Ghana Orli Veitzman is insisting that although Jews have a lot of respect for Christians they do not believe that Jesus Christ, whose crucifixion is being observed today, is the long awaited savior of the world.
The Israeli Ambassador revealed that the Messiah who is expected to save the world is not yet born.

“In the Jewish religion, today is not a special day. But we have a lot of respect for Christians. According to Judaism, we are still waiting for the Messiah to come. For us Jews, we are still waiting for the Messiah. Judaism is based on the Old Testament ... There is no account of the miracles that Jesus performed,” he argued in an interview with StarrFM in Accra.
Judaism bears the conviction that Jesus Christ, who died at Calvary in Golgotha centuries ago, is only a prophet and not the savior as believers of the faith never accept any of the claimed fulfillment of prophecy that Christianity attributes to Jesus. It also forbids the worship of a person as a form of idolatry, since the central belief of Judaism is the absolute unity and singularity of God.
Meanwhile, Christians across the globe are observing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ today. In many countries across the world, today is a legally recognised holiday.
