BNI denies ransacking Danquah Institute office

The ransacked office of the Danquah Institute

The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has denied raiding the offices of the policy think tank Danquah Institute or any other location for that matter.

This follows media reports that the office and the office of Perry Okudzeto, the deputy director of communication of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had been  raided  and ransacked on Thursday.

Some reports also claimed that the residence of Capt (rtd) Edmund Koda, the head of security of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, was also raided by the BNI.

Several pictures purportedly showing some of the locations in disarray have flooded social media, triggering outrage and condemnation from a section of the public.

But high-level sources within the BNI have disclosed to Graphic Online that claims that the intelligence outfit raided those locations are false.

According to the source, the BNI has not embarked on any such operation targeting the NPP or the Danquah Institute.
