Samuel Osei Kofi Boamah, the Tarkwa Nsuaem constituency chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has died.
According to Starr News, Kofi Boamah, popularly known as Africana, died early Sunday morning at a yet-to-be named Tarkwa Government Hospital.
According to Starr News, the deceased gave up the ghost after he complained of an ache in his leg, and was rushed to the hospital on Saturday evening and he passed on Sunday morning.
Communications director of the party in the Western region Okaatakyie Amankwaah Afriyie confirmed the incident to Starr News said Kofi Boamah was the chairman for the area when Kufuor came to power.
He added that the family informed the party of his death this morning hence, they are working closely with the family and hoping to announce when the one week celebration will take place by close of day tomorrow. According to Ohene Gyan, the latest incident brings to three, the number of constituency chairmen of the party who have died over the last few months.
