Evangelist Samuel Vidzro, the founder and president of the Worldwide Believers Prayers Movement (WOBPRAM), has warned Christians against the purchase of anointing water and payment of consultation fees before meeting a man of God.
He told Graphiconline in an interview that such things are frowned upon by the bible and it is immoral in the sight of God.
"God never took anything from us in giving us his grace and blessing and power so why do we charge his flock and sell anointing water to them", he lamented.
He was sharing his views on Easter and how appropriately Christians all over the world could celebrate it.
He noted that the church in recent times has become a "cash and carry" system where Christians have no option than to pay their way through before being served or catered for by supposed men of God.
Evangelist Vidzro described such deeds as shameful and unchristian.
He therefore called on Ghanaians to be wary of such pastors who he said were wolves in sheep’s clothings.
According to him, Easter was a time for Christians all over the world to celebrate the festivity by reflecting on the Bible’s teachings and getting closer to God.
He therefore tasked all to celebrate the festive period in moderation and eschew all negative tendencies, so that Christ’s true purpose will be realized among them.
He tasked Christians to be on the lookout for such people while challenging true men of God to boldly expose the fake ones.
