The United States has called on Ghana for close collaboration in the fight against terrorism.
US Ambassador of Ghana, Robert Jackson in his very first visit to the Ashanti Region has revealed that the prevailing bout of terrorist attacks in Europe, the United States and even West Africa, Ghana needed the best of international collaboration to prevent any possible attack.
"Every country in the world needs to be prepared to deal with terrorism and security and Ghana is not unique in that. I think that we are becoming better prepared but we always need to be vigilant. If I have one message it is that we need to work together. It is an international problem and requires an international solution," he stated.
Meanwhile Ghana has put in place emergency measures to combat terrorism in the country with the recent closure of the Ghana-Mandari border and also the increase of security at the Airport.
