- Nigerians have reacted angrily over the failure of the team to qualify for the 2017 AFCON
- Most Nigerians claimed the team lost their form and potency due to the ineptitude of Sunday Oliseh who resigned few weeks ago before Sampson Siasia took over
Nigerians have reacted angrily to the ouster of the Super Eagles from the 2017 Africa cup of nations billed to hold in Gabon.
The coach Samson Siasia-led team were beaten by a lone strike at Alexandria, Egypt in spite of their lengthy spells of dominating and possession.
The Eagles had been condemned to win the match after Friday, March 25 draw against the Pharaohs at the Ahmadu Bello stadium, Kaduna, but their high hopes were dashed by the resilient North Africans who will now qualify for the bi-annual tournament at the expense of their west African counterparts.
But, Nigerians who stayed up to watch the match on Tuesday evening, lashed out at former coach, Sunday Oliseh for destroying the team beyond repairs before his shocking resignation just weeks before the all important double-header.
