- Bukom Banku was expected in court on March 23 but he failed to appear, neither was he able to give any reason for the absence of his counsel who failed to appear too
- Two women, Nana Densu Dodoo and Eunice Lamptey were allegedly assaulted by the boxer on March 9 after he taunted them on several ocassions in the company of his girlfriend
- He was subsequently arrested by the police on March 15 when the ladies reported the incident to the police
- The boxer is said to have assaulted a man, Michael Abbey in a similar circumstamnces October last year, which is currently pending at court awaiting the AG's advice
A magistrate court in Accra has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku for refusing to appear before it.
The accused, who was expected to appear before the court on March 23, 2016 did not give any excuse for his absence, neither was he represented by a counsel when the case was called.
The controversial boxer was expected to answer charges of assault brought against him by two women.
Nana Densu Dodoo and Eunice Lamptey, the victims of the alleged assault were also not present at court.
Presenting the facts of the case, Sergeant Lois Konadu, the prosecutor told the court presided over by Mr James Bota that the victims, Nana and Eunice, who were seated in front of their house at Bukom, in the same neighbourhood as the boxer were rudely confronted by the boxer without any provocation on March 9.
Bukom Banku who was in the company of his girlfriend started reigning insults on the two ladies and went on to tease them that his girlfriend had nicer breasts than theirs.
The boxer allegedly went on to insult Nana’s mother who was not even present at the scene.
Bukom Banku became irritated when the lady warned him to stop the insults on her mother and assaulted her in the ensuing confrontation.
According to Sergeant Konadu, Bukom Banku assaulted Eunice who attempted to rescue Nana.
The two who had sustained various degrees of injuries reported the matter to the James Town Police who issued them with medical forms to go to the hospital for treatment.
The police then went in and arrested Bukom Banku on March 15, 2016.

Meanwhile Bukom Banku, has a pending case awaiting advice from the Attorney General’s office.
He is alleged to have attacked a man, Michael Abbey who resides in Akoto Lantey, with a cutlass on October 1, 2015 but he never stepped in court when the case was called.
When a bench warrant was issued for his arrest he failed to appear before the court throughout the hearing.
