Dr. Abdul-Nashiru Issahaku has been appointed as the new governor of the Bank of Ghana by President John Dramani Mahama.
He is replacing Dr. Henry Kofi Wampah who retired at the end of March. Until his appointment Dr. Issahaku was a Second deputy at the Central Bank.
Dr Issahaku holds Masters in Agric Economics and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Georgia. He worked as a Governance Expert at the State University of New York, Center for International Studies.
