Dr Mahamudu Bawumia addresses lecturers and students of the University of Mines and Techology (UMaT) in the Western Region.

According to him, in 216 days, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will replace John Mahama as the president of Ghana.

Dr Bawumia said this in a Facebook post on Tuesday after he met lecturers and students of the University of Mines and Techology (UMaT) in the Western Region.

He said he had to meet the students and their lecturers at the Tarkwa Roman Catholic Parish Hall, after University authorities stopped him from holding the forum on the campus of the university.

Dr Bawumia said the decision of the students to defy attempts to frustrate his interaction with them was evidence that they were fed up with the current government and wanted change.

"Change cannot be stopped and it cannot be delayed and in 216 days, Nana Akufo-Addo will be the President-Elect, Insha Allah", he said.
