Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II, the life patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC revealed on Tuesday evening after he paid the club an unannounced visit at their Adako Jachie training pitch he thought Kotoko were leading the Ghana Premier League (GPL) log.

Kotoko have 5 points from as many as 6 matches in the 6 weeks old league which is unprecedented in the history of the club and are firmly rooted at the bottom of the 16 team league log.

The development has made the management of the team decide to let their coach, David Duncan ‘step aside’.

The Asantehene during the visit said he was surprised to find Kotoko as the last placed team in the league.

When I picked the papers today, I was expecting to see you at the top. I then came all the way down to sixth and was surprised when I saw you as the last placed team,” he bemoaned.
