Fifa boss Infantino named in rot deal by Panama Papers

Gianni Infantino, the new FIFA boss has been named in a rot deal leaked by Panama Papers documents which raised questions over the role played by the new Fifa president in TV rights deal while he worked for Uefa as director of legal services.

According to records, Uefa concluded offshore deals with one of the indicted persons named in the alleged “World Cup of fraud” even though they previously announced they had no hand in it.

The leaked documents brought to bare contracts from 2003 and 2006, which were co-signed by Infantino and linked Uefa for the first time to one of the companies involved in the scandal that has brought down former Fifa president Sepp Blatter.
