The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has vehemently denied and laughed off media reports that the party intends to reinstate suspended national executives.

NPP statement on the reinstatement of Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong

According to a statement signed by the NPP’s director of communications, Nana Akomea, the last Steering and National Executive Committee meeting did not discuss reinstating  national chairman Paul Afoko and general secretary Kwabena Agyepong.

Nana Akomea in the NPP’s statement  said the reports are “mere speculation”.

Mr. Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong were suspended from the party as national chairman and general secretary because they were accused of working against the fortunes of the NPP winning power in 2016.
