Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur was in Porto Novo, Benin on Wednesday for the swearing in of Patrice Talon as the President of Benin.
Mr Amissah-Arthur was accompanied by the National Security Advisor, Ambassador Baba Kamara, Fifi Kwettey - Minister for Transport, and Johnson Asiedu Nketiah - General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
While in Benin, the Vice President met with the Ghanaian community in Cotonou. He has since returned to Ghana.
Businessman, Patrice Talon was sworn in as Benin's new president after winning last month's elections. The wealthy 57-year-old dubbed the "King of Cotton" was sworn in at the Charles de Gaulle stadium in the capital Porto-Novo.
Talon had met earlier Wednesday with outgoing head of state Thomas Boni Yayi, who stepped down after two terms in office, at the Presidential Palace in the economic hub Cotonou.
