President John Dramani Mahama has visited the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in the Western region.
His visit forms part of the “Accounting to the People Tour” in the region. The presidency's Twitter handle, @flagstaffghana shared photos of the president's visit to UMaT.

President Mahama opened a 251- room capacity hostel during the visit to the university. The facility will accommodate an additional 25% of the school’s population.
It also forms part the president’s evidence-based series across the country.
Under the leadership of President Mahama, UMaT in 2013 procured equipment worth £1.5million for their Petroleum Engineering Lab.
