Petrol prices go up four percent, diesel two percent

Petrol prices have gone up across the capital, it has been reported.

A report by citifmonline on Thursday indicated the price of petrol has increased by four percent while that of diesel has gone up by about two percent.

A litre of petrol which was selling at three  cedis and 32 pesewas at Total, is now selling at three cedis and 47 pesewas, while the cost of diesel has increased from three cedis and 26 pesewas to three cedis and 33 pesewas.

At Shell, the price of petrol has increased from three cedis and 33 pesewas per litre to three cedis and 47 pesewas per litre, with diesel also shooting up from three cedis and 26 pesewas to three cedis and 33 pesewas.

A similar trend of fuel price increase was detected across other petrol stations, the report said.
