Muhammadu Buhari, the president of Nigeria, has met distinguished Nigerians while in the US, including Zuriel Oduwole, an extraordinary girl who has been recognized for her academic excellency, and who was once pictured in Obama’s office where she, while posing, lifted her legs on Obama’s table.
Zuriel is a female education activist best known for her works on the advocacy for the education of girls in Africa. Her advocacy has since made her the youngest person to be profiled by Forbes.
She has also interviewed 17 Presidents and Prime Ministers worldwide.
President Buhari wore a radiant smile as he engaged the teenager in a tête-à-tête.
The other Nigerians hosted by President Buhari were: Prof. Austin Esogbue, the only African to have served on the board of the United States’ National Aeronautical Space Agency (NASA); Jelani Aliyu, a leading car designer with General Motors; Prof. Nwadiuto Esiobu, a renowned microbiologist and biochemist; and Dr Yemi Badero, an assistant professor of medicine.
The Nigerian leader, who was in the USA to participate in the 4th Nuclear Security Summit, lauded them for their achievements, stressing that he was proud of them.
