Disgruntled New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates in the Ablekuma West constituency are unhappy because the elections started very late from the planned time.

The crowd that was gathered at the Dansoman police station, the venue of the election  were agitated at the delay and slow start, as well as the disorganised  nature of events. They tell Yen.com.gh they have been in queues since 5am.

Yen.com.gh can also report that the heavy security presence ensured law and order; as well as preventing the media from conducting interviews and taking pictures within the parameter of the elections.

Meanwhile, one of the three contestants competing for the NPP parliamentary slot has pulled out. Theophilus Tetteh bowed out of the race following his failure to appear before the vetting committee.

Incumbent Member of Parliament, Mrs Ursula Ekuful and Roni Kwesi Nicole both say they are confident of winning the primary to lead the party into the November 7 election.
