Some Ghanaians have mocked Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur for donating a ram and two bags of rice to the Wa Methodist School for the Blind.
According to them, it was miserly for Mr Amissah-Arthur to have gone all the way to Wa to donate only a ram and two bags of rice.
Others described Mr Amissah-Arthur's gesture as disgraceful, stressing that, as Vice-President, he was in a good financial position to have made a better donation to the school.
The Vice-President's donation was made on his behalf by Mr Issahaku Nuhu Putiah, the Wa municipal chief executive.
Presenting the items, Mr. Putiah noted that the Vice-President had been in the Upper West Region to inaugurate 64 Community Based Health Planning and Service CHPS Compounds, but was pressed for time and could not visit the school to donate the items personally.
