US pledges to support Ghana Police

The United States Mission in Ghana has pledged its support for the Ghana Police to enable the Service provide adequate security for the November 7 polls. This was conveyed by the US Ambassador to Ghana, Robert Porter Jackson, last week when he paid a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police at the Police Headquarters in Accra.

In his briefing, IGP John Kudalor told the ambassador that the Police was not leaving any stone unturned in its bid to ensure a peaceful election.

Mr Jackson also assured the IGP of the support of the United States in the areas of training and provision of logistics.
