Hannah Tetteh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, has revealed that 200 fake recruitment agencies are in the business of recruiting Ghanaians to go and work abroad, especially in Middle Eastern countries.
She said the agencies took commission from their partners in the Gulf Region, in addition to the money they took from their victims, mainly women.
Appearing before the Public Account's Committee of Parliament (PAC) on Monday, Madam Tetteh said those companies were fleecing Ghanaians, as many of those transported abroad ended up being maltreated.
