Residents of Krodua-Takorase in the Upper West Akyem District of Eastern Region say they will not vote in planned November elections if the government does not complete a bridge project in the area that has stalled since 2008.

The residents say they will prevent the Electoral Commission (EC) from conducting election in Krodua-Takorase if the bridge is not completed before November, a report by accrafm.com stated on Tuesday.

The residents who said they were cut off from the rest of the country economically, called on the president to intervene immediately, lest they carry out their threat.
