Ras Mubarak, the National Democratic Congress Parliamentary nominee for Kunbungu in the Northern region, has denied being attacked by youth in his area.
In an interview with Accra based Peace FM on Wednesday morning, Mubarak said he was in the constituency doing his parliamentary campaign and said nothing of that sort has happened to him.
He denied using a black SUV as captured in a video circulating on social media purportedly showing the said attack and rather he was using a ‘borrowed’ Infiniti SUV vehicle which was wine in colour.
YEN.com.gh understands that the incident did not happen in Ghana as many are being made to believe, but that the video was an incident which happened in Nigeria where an angry mob reportedly attacked an SUV of Governor El-Rufai in Zaria.
Readers woke up on Wednesday morning to watch a video alleging that Ras Mubarak, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Kumbungu and Cordinator for the National Youth Authority was chased by some angry youth in his constituency on social media.
The video shows that, had it not been for the timely intervention of his driver who was smart enough to speed off through the angry mob, the aspiring MP would have been lynched.
The video however did attract various comments from the public who either condemned the act of the angry mob or supported the act. Some who believed that the video was indeed Ras mubarak even noted that the act of the angry mob indicates how the current government has taken Ghanaians for granted.
