'GES appointing unqualified NDC headteachers'

Some teachers in the Gomoa West district of the Central Region have accused the Ghana Education Service (GES) of appointing unqualified persons to head schools in the area.

The teachers claimed that unqualified headteachers appointed by the GES had been put forward by the government, starrfmonline reported on Wednesday.

At a press conference the teachers reportedly held, they accused the GES of engaging in partisanship in the appointment of heads to schools in the area.

According to the report, they sought to back their claims with the appointment of one Perpetual Praise Amagashie, whom they said had been appointed head of the Mozano senior high school, despite her falling short of the grade required to be a director of school.
