Gyan place 19 on the list and is also the second most paid African footballer. Ivorian Yaya Toure tops the Africa list placing 17th in the World.

The publication which documents the highest paid individuals in football per year was conducted by France Football. The calculations are based not just on individual’s contracts with their clubs, but all other forms of income including sponsorship deals.
