Beijing’s new airport has been described by many as resembling the private part of the female body.

The comments were sparked on social media after a photograph of a 3D model of the design was posted online and attracted comments from a prominent Chinese author who likened the design of Beijing airport to the female body.

The MailOnline Travel reports that Chinese web users have ridiculed the design by calling it 'reproductive organ worship'.One user, who goes by Bai Li Xiong said the design was inspired by the form of the human body.

Another user, known as Da Hai Lan, questioned whether the design was intended to seduce the People's Daily building, referring to how the structure resembled a penis when it was being built.

According to MailOnline Travel ,the designs for the world's largest airport terminal was designed by the British-Iraqi architect, Zaha Hadid and was unveiled in April 2015. It is set to be opened in 2018 and accommodate an estimated 45 million passengers in the 700,000 square metre building.
The six tier space will be focused on the user experience and will feature elements of Chinese culture.
