A family of nine died on Wednesday after a tricycle they were riding collided with a tipper truck in the Goaso area of the Brong Ahafo Region.
The accident occurred on the Twebide - Dadiesoba road, with graphic.com.gh reporting that the tipper truck was filled with sand at the time of the accident.
The Brong Ahafo police said it had involved 10 passengers, according to the report.
Earlier on Wednesday morning social media users reported that the accident had claimed eight lives.

The Brong Ahafo region experienced a similar fatal vehicle collision at Kinampo in February, which killed 63 people.
It occurred when a Kumasi-bound Metro Mass bus collided with a truck carrying tomatoes believed to be travelling from Navrongo.
