Popular pastor 'anoints' female members' underwears

Prophet Mboro, a controversial South African pastor whose real name is Paseka Motsoeneng, has sparked outrage after he recently asked his female members to bring their panties for anointing to protect them from evil spirits.

Defending his call in an interview on  Jacaranda FM Monday morning, the pastor allegedly claimed that the underwear anointed by him will keep his church members safe from evil spirits.

He said instead of laying his hand on them, he preferred to do what he called "transferation of the anointing" to their pants

"I speak the Word to those underwears. The power of God will get in, they wear it and God does something,” Prophet Mboro was quoted as saying.

In 2014, the 48-year-old was the subject of a BBC documentary by Reggie Yates called The Millionaire Preacher: Reggie Yates' Extreme South Africa.
