Idriss Deby, has secured a fifth term in office mandate after winning more than 60% of the votes in Chad.
The votes saw Saleh Kebzabo, the opposition leader come second with just under 13% in the first round of presidential polls.
The opposition leader has however expressed doubts about the credibility of the vote.
Idriss Deby has in power since 1990, when he orchestrated a military coup. He is credited as one of the longest serving African presidents.
