Accra Hearts of Oak has paid its players all outstanding bonuses owed the club’s playing body ahead of their 10 week GPL encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on May 2.
Togbe Afede XIV, the board chairman issued a cheque of GHC120,000 to the players on Friday before their game with Ashgold in which the Phobians won 2-1 at Len Clay.
Kenichi Yatshuhashi the club’s Japanese trainer had for some few days gone by taken to the social media to register his displeasure at this development.
The players were said to be owed two months outstanding salaries including that of their backroom staff.
It is believed the money paid will serve as the enticement needed by the team to propel them to victory over Asante Kotoko as a special package from the board awaits them.
