The Nungua Didtrict Police Command have arrested two persons, Wilfred Danso, 30 a blogger and Edem Fiadonu, 31, a business consultant for allegedly extorting monies from final-year students of three senior high schools (SHSs) in Accra, on the pretext of helping them to pass their West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The two allegedly visited some senior high schools where they extorted GH¢3,200 and promised them they were going to pass their examination easily by ‘sowing seeds’ or giving an offering without the permission of the school authorities.

ASP Efia Tengey, the Regional Police Public Relations Officer, said the two were arrested after they had collected money from some students at a school at Nungua who they lured through preaching.
The two also asked the students to finance the purchase of Bibles which would be supplied to deprived communities.
Though the police did not find any evidence of the Bibles having been supplied, investigations showed that the two men had informed the students that those who had received the Bibles were interceding for them to pass their exam.
The police appealed to other school authorities to report persons who go to their campuses to perpetrate similar acts to the police.
