Tristin Jacobson is a nine-year-old boy who began a lemonade stand in order to raise funds for his own adoption.
Tristin has to take up such an initiative because his biological mother left him on the doorstep of a shelter four years ago in Missouri.
Donnie David and her husband who have since them been foster parents to little Tristin do not have the money needed to adopt him, hence Tristin came up with such an initiative.
Due to the huge money involved for legal fees Tristin began a lemonade stand in a bid to raise the required $5,000.

The coverage of Tristin story by local newspaper Springfield News Leader however for people to support with money needed for the adoption.
He has now smashed his fundraising target, with $14,000 being raised.Of that sum, more than $7,000 was raised through his lemonade stand.
The extra money that has been raised will go towards Tristin's college education.
