The MP has argued that the EC following its logo change without the coat of arms symbol renders it incapable to conduct and declare elections in Ghana because the coat of arms symbolizes Authority on its mandate. According to him going by the logic of the EC Chair it means any other institution be it a radio station or other can announce election results contrary to the laid down rules that it is only the EC who can announce elections. He posits that the current logo of the EC without the Coat of Arms renders it powerless.
