Abraham Amaliba, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator, has stated that many Ewes feel the New Patriotic Party does not accept them, but only tolerates them.
Speaking on 'State of the Nation' on GhOne TV on Wednesday, he said instead of the NPP condemning former transport minister, Dzifa Attivor, for allegedly making tribal comments, the party should focus on making Ewes within their ranks feel at home.
While acknowledging that Attivor's comments were distasteful, he said the marginalisation of Ewes within the NPP was a bigger problem that ought to be addressed.
Attivor provoked outrage when she said during the launch of a group called ‘Ketu South For Fifi And Mahama’ at Wodoaba in the Ketu South district of the Volta Region on Tuesday, that the NPP targeted only members of her ethnic group for prosecution.
She added that if the Volta Region did not vote for the NDC, she would end up in jail with an NPP government in power.
